Hello, my name is Renee Garland, and I’m a residential real estate agent proudly serving Fredericksburg and the surrounding Northern Virginia region. For me, real estate is personal – not just paperwork and property tours. It’s often the backdrop to some of life’s biggest transitions: starting over, starting fresh, or starting something new. Most people I meet aren’t just chasing square footage – they’re navigating budgets, timelines, fears, and that persistent question: “Where do I even begin?”

That’s where I come in – not only as an agent, but as a steady, grounded guide who brings real solutions and calm to the chaos. I help my clients through the messy middle: the financial fears, the preparation stress, the overwhelm of figuring out what comes next. I slow things down when everything feels like it’s moving too fast. I bring sharp strategy, honest advice, and a whole lot of “I’ve got you” energy when the pressure is on.

Many of my clients aren’t even sure if they’re “ready.” Maybe the market feels too intimidating. Maybe their credit isn’t perfect. Maybe someone told them “you don’t qualify” more than once. Or maybe they’re worried about how much work their home needs before it can even hit the market. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all checklists. I believe in listening – and then building a plan that fits their life, their pace, and their non-negotiables. Whether that plan includes grant programs, creative financing, or simply taking things step by step, I'm here to meet them where they are and guide them with clarity and confidence.

What sets me apart isn’t just the strategy (though I’ve got it). It’s the way I show up – consistently, candidly, and without pressure. I’ve walked through my own fair share of transitions, including a 20-year career in the Marine Corps and a battle with Stage III cancer. I understand what it means to pivot, to lead with purpose, and to serve others with strength and integrity.

These days, my favorite title is “Grandma.” When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my grandkids or catching up with loved ones over a too-big meal. Home has always been my anchor – not just a place, but a feeling. And that’s why I do this work. Because for  me, it’s never just about buying or selling a house – it’s about honoring life transitions with care, dignity, and service that lasts far beyond closing day.
